PF Chang’s Horrid Dining Experience

I know you are probably dying in suspense wondering what Chuck and I got into in San Diego and how I feel like Delta should be boycotted but I have another story I want to share. One that is much fresher than either of those.

PF Chang’s China Bistro

I was meeting a friend for dinner [...]

A San Diego Overview

San Diego was a pretty awesome trip. And before you ask, no we didn’t go to the Zoo or Seaworld. To briefly sum up our trip, we bummed around, walked endless miles, saw amazing sunsets and wore ourselves out so we were in bed by 11pm.
We are early vacation risers so the days started at [...]

Honolulu by Alan Brennert

I’ve been a reader since I was young, which means I’ve read a lot of books. Some books have been more memorable than others but when asked what my favorite book I’ve ever read, I always come up blank.

Never has a story touched me like Honolulu did. Maybe it was because of my infatuation [...]

my life, out of the box

Life is about movement, moving forward, regardless if we want to or not. It’s about growing as a person, and yes, stepping out of the proverbial box.
For someone who is a tiny bit afraid of heights, I never thought I’d be taking aerial yoga classes at the Detroit Flyhouse. I didn’t think I’d be trying [...]

west coast bound

In the past 4 days Chuck and I have went through a list of destinations for our next vacation. Las Vegas, Arizona, Key West and New York. What we decided on was San Diego when my finger typing and clicking came across a flight that we found was more than reasonable.
We’ve been talking [...]

2000-2009 review

Wow a decade in review. It’s crazy that it’s almost 2010. I remember when we were all freaking out about Y2K. It’s no joke that 2000 was my best year yet. Definitely the best of the decade. With 2007 coming in close behind, but a couple bad things happened to mar the year.

A look [...]

unexpected vet visits

Back in October 2008, Chuck and I went to the grocery store. When we got home we found an empty bottle of advil on the floor complete with teeth marks that had chewed the plastic bottle in half.
We couldn’t find Liko. He was hiding under a blanket his eyes as big as dinner [...]

#best09 : dec5

Did you have a night out with friends or a loved one that rocked your world? Who was there? What was the highlight of the night?
Probably the most exciting hockey game I ever went to was Game 7 of the Red Wings vs the Anaheim Ducks in May 2009. I was with Chuck, my Uncle [...]

What book – fiction or non – touched you?

19 Minutes by Jodi Piccoult.
It was an emotional book that showed both sides of a school tragedy. You didn’t want to sympathize with the shooter because of the awful situation he created but you couldn’t help it. The book made me really understand that there are two [...]

take it lightly

The Watson and I are going to see New Moon tonight. Don’t worry we aren’t obsessed fans that might cry when the movie starts. More likely we’ll be the jerks in the row behind you laughing at all the awkwardness and heavy breathing on the screen. I won’t lie that’s what we [...]
