Meet Maria:

I graduated from Wayne State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism

I received my certificate in dog training from Animal Behavior College in February 2007

In June 2007 I married Chuck on the shores of Hanalei

I started my first blog in October of 2007, but I’ve been a writer since I was 6 (I have my first stories about a tailless dog to prove it)

I earned my 1st Degree Blackbelt in January 2010

I’m love the Detroit Red Wings but I also love the Tampa Bay Lightning. This doesn’t pose a problem until they meet in the Finals or when Chuck and I see them play each other. This has happened once a year since 2005 (with the exception of ’06 because Bettman is an idiot)

I’m extremely level headed and flighty at the same time

I have 3 dogs: Nani is a black lab, Liko is a rat terrier and Scooby is a boxer/shepherd mix

I break the Internet a lot with my job – the fun is in learning to fix it

I’m an only child. I never thought it was lonely until recently, something about getting older I guess

I love my Dad and miss my Mom who passed away in 2003
