endlessly curious
Chuck and I just got back from another long weekend in Tawas with the dogs. I’m pretty sure the weather was warmer at home but I guess that’s a small price to pay for the downtime I get being up there.
It’s hard for both of us to relax. We are always running around somewhere, doing something. Chuck even has a hard time just sitting still while we are away. But maybe he just relaxs differently. I like to just sit and read. He has to be standing pacing around always looking at things. ADD? LOL just kidding.
One night after a long day out on the boat and outside I curled up on the couch where I could look straight out the window and take in Lake Huron I watched some tv. Chuck went down to the beach and had his own little fire. It’s odd the dogs were more tired than him. I guess that’s just what he does.
Have you read James Patterson’s Suzannes Diary for Nicholas? I read that on the beach in a couple of hours. I kept telling Chuck to shhh because I wanted to finish the book. I highly recommend it. It’s tragic and heartwarming at the same time.
One other thing on our list to do while we were up there besides go boating, enjoy the beach and relax was stop at the real estate office. At first we wondered if we should even think about buying another place so soon after buying our house, but you know what? There are cottages for under 20k and it’s something we intend to use year round. So we’ve started looking into it.
Here’s starting another adventure!
