25 Mar 2009It never actually crossed my mind to try a detox diet. I’m not big on diets at all. Mostly because I’m not disciplined and my attention span is about as big as a fly. I get bored and fall off that wagon. Recently my friend A did a 21 day detox diet. Her’s was completely liquid and to be honest with you it contained enemas.
Yes I said enemas. So obviously that is a NO for me. Not even going to attempt that. Also, 21 days is a long time.
I forgot about it for a week or so (I told you, short attention span) and then came across an article on AOL about detox diets. I found a 7 day detox diet that includes actual food. I immediately thought, “hmm, I could probably do that.”
I’m not really in it to lose weight (which will probably be gained back) but it seems healthy to cleanse your body once in awhile.
So to detox or not, that is the question of the day.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Advice?

I spend too much money on my toxins to attempt to rid myself of them.

i think it’s an interesting question. i had a client ask me the same thing the other day if he should try it. i mean i guess it wouldn’t hurt? but are you planning to change your eating habits afterwards? or just eat “clean” to detox and then go back to old habits? I guess that’s how I look at it.
