endlessly curious

7 Feb 2009I had a 2 second period where I might have had a mini heart attack. I needed to get into gmail and it kept coming up with an error. My life is pretty much invested in google. I keep everything important there because it’s so easy to access. It got me thinking, should I be backing up the information I keep on Google?
That might be the dumbest question I’ve ever asked. The answer is an obvious yes. So the next logical question is how do I got about doing this?
I’m not the most organized person. I have things all over the place. I’m even having a hard time with external hard drive and organizing that. That’s a little bit of a lie since the external hard drive pretty much organizes itself. Though I do have a hard time accepting that. I digress.
So if you back up your Google Docs, gmail and whatever else, what do you use? I saw an article about using Thunderbird to backup gmail. Thoughts? If you don’t, do you think it’s necessary?
